ABOUT

Hi, I`m Vered Rosalia Goldman.
My two names embody a duality: Vered, meaning “rose” in Hebrew, connects to my Israeli roots, while Rosalia, my grandmother's name, honors my family's history and resilience, reflecting the weight of displacement and fractured identities.

Through painting and mixed media, my work explores the raw, often complex emotions of life—grief, beauty, and everything in between. I delve into identity, human emotion, and the cyclical nature of life and death, seeking to uncover the universal truths where beauty and sorrow intertwine. As a self-taught artist, I am deeply committed to exploring new fields of art and design, and I am eager to learn from other creatives. This residency will offer the focus and environment I need to develop my latest project: a Tarot card series aimed at supporting individuals through loss. Blending archetypes and the psychology of symbols, this project explores an interactive approach to art as a form of emotional guidance.

In addition to my visual practice, I host Open End, a podcast dedicated to exploring themes of death, grief, and loss, and challenging the taboo surrounding them. This platform allows me to further investigate the emotional and psychological processes I explore in my art, fostering a more open and compassionate approach to these universal experiences.
